    Description

Armoires and consoles of the 50's, 60's and 70's have become highly sought after for their value as collectible electronics as well as vintage furniture pieces. Consoles are fairly easy to find today, but the TV/Stereo/Phonograph Armoires (entertainment centers) are harder to find, and even rarer with all the original electronics included.
This posting is for a 1972 Magnavox Color Stereo Theatre Armoire complete with original electronics, Model 1C 7814. It's compact size is perfect for small spaces or limited floor areas. The unit offers a television, a pull-out stereo radio and phonograph, and storage for vinyl records.
The fine furniture cabinetry is made of real solid maple wood, and is in excellent condition for a vintage piece of this age
The television is a 21" screen, and boasts the "advanced" "Total Automatic Color System" (TAC). The TV does not currently work--it is of the old vintage "tube" type (not a circuit board). The original tubes are still  in the unit, but the tubes need to be individually checked and/or replaced. The radio works, but it is not known whether the phonograph (record player) works. Sound is projected from both sides and the front of the unit.
Some of the noted features are: (TV: Matrix Picture tube, TAC Color System, Magna-Power Chassis); (Audio:Continuously variable Bass and Treble, Stereo Balance, and Loudness controls);(Radio: Tuned RF Stage on FM, no-drift FM/AFC, Illuminated Slide Rule Dial, FM Stereocast Indicator, jacks for optional tape player, terminals for external FM antenna, plus terminals and switches for optional remote speakers.)
An added bonus to this unitis that it comes complete with catalog, brochures, documents, and supporting  paperwork including shipping receipt (see photos).
There is one very small flaw in the wood: on the top left corner edge is a scrape, very minor, appears to be easily repairable.
The unit measures 52"H x 28" W x 18"D and takes up 182 square inches of space.  It weighs 218 pounds.
